Subjects - English
Unlike the assumption that is generally behind the standard 'school' system, 'real' people do not 'all' progress at exactly the same rate, and so the assumption that Year 'X' should contain "YZ ..." to fit all students is just not human and educational reality!
The HomeLearn program is organised by 'literacy' levels, with the school 'year level' being actually mostly irrelevant to the choice of Course... ie apart from a few courses which are designed for students of a particular age/maturity ... eg Early Childhood, there are no specific 'year' or 'grade' courses, only 'literacy level' based courses, which can be used by students at any age.
This chart shows the range of courses, with the 'source' readers and language level expectations of each. Note that there is no 'grade' distinction with the courses ... only literacy development distinction.
